Welcome to Little Angels Nursery and Pre-school. We are a small and friendly nursery that offers a very high standard of childcare.  Our aim is to provide a happy, loving and stimulating environment, where all children will be encouraged to develop intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.

Our Ofsted Inspection was in March 2018 where we received an overall OUTSTANDING which we are delighted with!

Pre-school children will enjoy extracurricular activities, for example: music and movement, gardening, cookery, fun phonics lessons, arts and crafts. The nursery curriculum involves planned activities which are planned around the children’s interests. All the children will have the opportunity to visit the local park and also story and music time at the local library.  A risk assessment will be carried out before any trip, and the correct ratio of children to /staff will be made paramount to ensure your child’s safety at all times.

Babies and toddlers will enjoy lots of fun activities, including messy play, sand and water, arts and crafts, outdoor play, one to one playtime, story and rhyme time and much more.

The nursery will be following the Early Years Foundation Stage and the Every Child Matters.  These frameworks are both set up by the Government.  When parents choose to use early years services they want to know that the provision will keep their child safe and encourage them to thrive. The Early Years Foundation Stage is the framework that provides that assurance.  For more information see our parent information or chat to a member of staff.

We know that outdoor play has a huge impact on the health and wellbeing and we believe that taking learning outdoors we help children foster an appreciation, respect and care for nature which will then be deeply embedded in their lives.

We will ensure that staff become reflective researchers, striving to gain a deep understanding of each child.

Through a loving, nurturing and language rich outdoor environment children feel safe to play and develop important life skills such as persistence, resilience, curiosity, creativity. Our less is more approach enables children’s imagination and creativity to flourish.

A deposit of £60 will be charged on confirmation to secure your place- with this we will buy your child a waterproof dungaree set, jacket, hat and waterproof gloves. When your child moves up to the next room you will be asked to replace the waterproof outdoor wear with a bigger size. In the autumn /winter months you may be asked to take your child’s outdoor clothing home and bring it back the next day washed and ready to wear as we do not have the facilities to wash all children’s outdoor clothes. We appreciate your support in this matter.

Please provide daily a full set of clothes including socks and underwear and leave in the pump bag provided.

The children will be enjoying new activities like making campfires and enjoying hot chocolate, stick whittling, woodwork, making dens, mark making with charcoal and much more. All 7 areas will be covered whilst playing outdoors.
